Mary and family, I was shocked to hear of the passing of your husband, Bob. Bob and I were classmates and friends through most of high school. One of my fondest memories of our friendship was building a "hunting cabin" on his parents farm. We used to use it for camping adventures and a shelter or rest spot during our childhood hunting expeditions. I also remember a wonderful summer when I spent a week at his farm helping to harvest the hay and enjoy some evenings by the lake after a hard day's work. I am sorry for your loss. I now I have told yu these things before but I will repeat. He was my hero that i looked up to. We spent the first twenty odd years together as siblings on the family farm. He always was there for me and I looked up to him. Always with a grin and chuckles for all of us. He was so strong and could do anything! He taught me baseball, basketball and how to be kind and considerate to others. He was a friend to all that knew him and all wanted to be his friend. He drove me places in his convertible that he owned since he turned 16. A quiet soul but one who has so much to share I enjoyed meeting his friends and so-workers. They were very kind and told many tales of his smarts and kindness. Yes, he is VERY smart. He adores his family. They mean everything to him. The last 35 years have been a blur as we have been far away fro each other, raising our families and living our lives far from each other. I do regret the distance but know that we have an eternity to be a family. My thoughts and prayers are with his sweet wife, adorable girls and terrific sons-in-law. May you always know and feel the close presence of your father. He is one of the choice sons of our Father In Heaven. My love to you all, Mary

I was a coworker of Bob for several years, and I enjoyed working with him. Bob had his priorities straight. Because he thought of others first, he treated the people he worked with well, and he obviously looked forward to time with his family.

I started working with Bob in 1991, but it was in his more relaxed later years as a contractor that I got to know him best. I, like everyone else, respected his leadership of the MVS group, was impressed with his intelligence, and greatly admired his gentle spirit. His characteristic smile always appeared whenever he proudly spoke of his family. Even though I had never met them, I felt as though I knew them through his stories. Mary, Amanda, and Stacey, may you find strength and solace in the legacy of this fine man.

Our earthly life here is but a moment. What we do here though is very important for our eternities. Bob is a very jovial, smart, quick witted, smiling operson that would always help anyone out. He was alwasy kind to me and always had a smile on his face. As a brother in law I could ask for no greater person. I shall miss him here but seehim on the other side when we will be together again. Dear Brock Family: I read about the loss of Mr.Brock in the obituary today and I wanted to extend my sympathy. As humans we want to live, and we want to enjoy life with those we love, it is only natural that we yearn to see our dead loved ones again, so it's comforting to know that the Bible teaches that most people who have died will be resurrected. The Bible promises this at John 5:28,29 which in part reads:"Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life,". Bob was easy to like and a joy to be around. Everyone who knew Bob was glad to call him friend. He was intelligent, broadly read, avid worker of daily crossword puzzle, passionate golfer, excellent systems programmer & problem solver. Most of all he was loving husband of Mary and loving parent of Amanda & Stacey. He didn't hesitate to brag - rightly - about Amanda & Stacey. We feel the grief of his passing, but he will always be with us in fond memories.
