There are no words to describe the deep sadness that I have with losing Aunt Doris, she was such a wonderful person, a heart of gold. She was a woman who always seemed to be smiling or laughing about something. Oh the many, many memories I will cherish and hold dear to my heart about Aunt Doris. She always showed us how much she loved each and every one of us. Aunt Doris you were loved dearly and will be greatly missed. I’m sure your sitting at the table with a cup of coffee, talking and laughing with the man above watching over all of us.

I was lucky enough to meet Doris at work years ago. She became one of my best friends and made me a part of her family through all these years. She is one of the few people that I can say in this world that never said one bad thing about anybody. She is someone I always looked up to. The thing I also loved about her was her family. She loved them all so very much and was so proud of them, and they felt the same way about her. They all accepted me and my children as their family also. Thank you so much for that. We are always here for you and Doris will be greatly missed, but I'm so happy to know that she is in Heaven in no more pain and smiling down on everyone she loved so very much. I love you, Doris.

Doris had the biggest heart of any person I have ever met. She accepted me and my sister into her family with open arms, without question or reservation. She loved us unconditionally and proudly introduced us as her grandchildren. She blessed us with her warmth, kindness and love. She blessed us with the gift of family. I am forever thankful and so fortunate to have known you, Doris. It is an honor to call you grandma and it is an honor to be a part of the George family. We love you.
