Obituary of Annetta Kay Schreiner
Please share a memory of Annetta to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Annetta Kay Schreiner, Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, 7 August
2012, after a long illness.
Annetta is survived by her husband Dave, children David John and Catherine Lynn, Grandson Jake, aka "the Jakester", and Grandkids Alec, Tehya and Olivia. Annetta was a proud Army wife and had recently celebrated 50 years of marriage to her high school sweetheart - "Dave".
Although born in Omaha, Nebraska, she grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa, graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School where she met Dave. When Dave attended Iowa State, Annetta worked at the University as a secretary while Dave completed his coursework, receiving his commission in the U.S. Army. Annetta supported Dave throughout his 24 year Army career, taking on the role of both parents while Dave served in Vietnam and later Korea. Annetta worked hard to see her two children graduate from college.
Active in her church, she prayerfully served her family and friends. We will miss her wit, humor and contagious laugh, but as Christians, we know that one day, we will see her again.
