I knew Andrew, Mellissa and his wondeful children through the Classical Ballet Academy. Andrew appeared in several shows, including playing the Father in the Nutcracker. His enthusiasm and love of life (and Singapore Noodles) was a tonic from the stress and traffic of daily life. As Berthe, the sage grandmother in the Broadway musical "Pippin" so aptly notes: "It's time, time to start living; time to take something from the world we're givin; time to take time for spring will turn to fall, in just no time at all." Andrew took time to live and although he was taken from us too soon (spring did turn to fall, in just no time at all), we think of him & smile.

Andrew and his family were an important part of the Classical Ballet Academy and the Nutcracker that i have been privileged to be a part of. Andrew, as Herr Stallbaum was an imposing physical presence...and when he went, in tuxedo and tails to encourage the children to dance, it is a memory I cherish. I am grateful that he enriched our lives in the time we had together and miss him so much.

I recently met Andrew (just over a year) while serving in the Marines. I immediately saw a professional committed to excellence and dedicated to providing a meaningful contribution to his country in the manner that he knew how. He was extremely talented and focused on the greater things to come. I bonded with him as my mentor as I transitioned after 26 years from the Marine Corps. More recently, we began chatting offline and discussed his peaks and valleys - he was always on the PEAK from my perspective. He gave me wise counsel and expectations for the future (making fly fishing baits and slingshots)! A very warm and inviting young man that will be missed. I only wish the best for Melissa and the children as they too reflect on the great person that has left us so early. His constant spiritual aspects are very much missed as well and I truly believe he will be welcomed with open arms!
Semper Fidelis my friend!

I think all of us have endless stories of Andrew and his fantastic sense of humor. He was always quick witted and new the right (or sometimes wrong) thing to say that always got a laugh. He was so genuinely caring and compassionate to others. Even when he wasn't feeling well he still went out of his way to help others. His positive attitude and never-ending enthusiasm will always be inspiring to all of us.

So sorry to have heard the news of Andrew's passing. He was an inspiration to me and will continue to be in my prayers as you and the children. I recently met Andrew through work and know that he was a very passionate professional as well as family man. As you find the days passing know that he will be comforted in the arms of "the teacher" as Andrew put it on so many occasions. My only regrets is that I was unable to visit him as often after his departure from the work environment, this is something that I truly regret. It would have been my most fortunate opportunity to have met you and the children and see a great friend again. God Bless you all...Ouris
