Brown Family, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I am honored to have been classmates and teammates with Joe at Penn State. Joe always spoke so highly of his family and especially his father. My deepest condolences.

I was absolutley devastated when I saw the email about Stewart's passing. I had not seen Stewart in a while and was actually planning on calling him that day to see if he wanted to meet for lunch. Stewart was one of those rare people who took a sincere interest in so many others here at NRC. No matter how hectic things got around here, he was always cool and composed and able to see some humor in the situation. Regardless of how busy he was, he was always willing to spare some time to help someone else. Stewart was a tremendous support to me in business and personal matters and I will miss being able to bounce ideas around with him. He was devoted to his family and friends and spoke of his children with great love and pride. My deepest sympathies to Leta and the family. We all share in your loss.

My sincerest condolences to the Brown family. I regret that my current rotational assignment in NRC's Region III office in Illinois precludes my expressing my condolences in person. Stu was a gentleman and I think all of his colleagues will miss his quiet dignity and kindness. My father passed away under similar circumstances and at a similar age. Please know that you are all in my prayers.

Little Leta-- Your Stewart was one of the good guys at the NRC... how astounding to think that his smile won't grace the corridors any longer. Both you and he were bright spots in my career even tho we didn't work together on projects. Your wisdom and faith and family will carry you through this; please know that you are in my prayers. --Beth

Dear Leta, Matt and I are shocked and deeply saddened by the news of Stewart's sudden passing. I had known him since the 1970's, and was very happy to see him again when I came to the NRC in the 1980's. He was very sweet and personable and I will always fondly think of him. My heart goes out to you. I know that no words could bring the comfort and fill the void left in your life, but just know that you and the family are in our prayers and thoughts.

I still am stunned by the news that Stu passed. Stu, I and Ken worked on several projects together. Stu was so wonderful to work with, soft spoken, kind, and great all around. We would exchange updates on the kids, the colleges, the travel, or sports. He loved them so deeply and Leta. My deepest sympathies and prayers go to you all.

Dear Brown Family, Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. I worked closely with Stu on several projects at the NRC during the past few years. Stu was a great guy--generous (at our workgroup meetings he always offered me one of the iced teas he kept at work) and he always made that extra effort to be personable. He spoke often of his daughters so I could tell he was a true family man. It was a privilege to have worked with him and he will be missed. Andy
