Obituary of John Miller Ault

Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John Miller Ault "Jack" Jack entered eternal life on September 19, 2012 after a "life in full" marked by humor, service, integrity and optimism. Jack was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on November 25, 1924. Upon graduating from Williamsport High, where he was an excellent football center, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was assigned to the ASTP program and attended Clemson and Georgetown Universities. He served in Northern Europe with the 102d Infantry Division, the "Ozarks". Following the war, Jack obtained a law degree from George Washington University and married Ann Brady of Washington, DC. He joined the CIA, working on assignments in Europe and Washington DC. He developed a strong passion for the nascent computer industry and this led to his many years as a business executive at GE, Univac, and Burroughs and later as CEO of IPT. Jack's career took the family to Maryland, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Virginia. Jack's interests included sailing, golfing, and especially music. He shared his collection of musicals with all of his grandchildren. After enjoying several years of retirement living in Delaware, Jack and Ann returned to Northern Virginia. We celebrate Jack's 62 year devotion to his wife Ann, and his devotion to his five surviving children, John (Sue), Andy (Kathy), Teresa Weipert (Dennis), Tracy Richardson (Dave) and Mary Bea Kampman (Dean), and the 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Jack is also survived by his sisters Mary Jo Brouse and Barbara Carino but was preceded in death by his sister Jean Gibson and parents John and Nellie. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke Parish 7001 Georgetown Pike, McLean, VA 22101 on Saturday, October 6, at 11am. There will be a reception and celebration immediately following the service. Jack will rest at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
