Lila was a wonderful woman. We share our birthday, August 21. She would always call me on or near our birthday just to check in. I was out of town on our day for the last two years, so I was looking forward to catching up with her this year. I already miss her laugh, her frank opinions, her heart of gold beating through her no-nonsense bravado. What a woman!
