Obituary of Henry A. Bruno

Henry A. Bruno, age 57, of Herndon, VA died on July 19, 2007 at Reston Hospital Center. He was born on March 17, 1950 in Fort Benning, GA. Henry was a 1972 graduate of Virginia Military Institute earning his B.A in English. He then went on to earn his Master's degree in Education from George Mason University in 1986. Henry taught in Fairfax County Schools for 31 years before retiring in 2005, he spent 24 of those years teaching math at Chantilly High School. He also coached varsity football in Fairfax County for various schools for 24 years, along with coaching Little League, Tee-ball and basketball for CYA for 14 years. Henry was the beloved husband of 33 years of Jan Bruno, loving and devoted father of Anthony "Tony" Bruno and his wife Lisa of Richmond, VA, Aimee Bruno of Arlington, VA and Andrew "Joe" Bruno and his wife Julie of Ashburn, VA, son of Eva Panconi Bruno of Burgettstown, PA and the late Henry A. Bruno, Sr., brother of Vera Metz of Pittsburgh, PA and Rita Caskey of Imperial, PA, proud grandfather of Kaela and Matthew. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 22 nd from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 23 rd at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 750 Peachtree Street, Herndon, VA. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Burgettstown, PA. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the V.M.I. Foundation or the Keydet Club, P.O. Box 932, Lexington, VA 24450.
