Please share a memory of Hildred to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Hildred Robinson "Robbie" Lauck, 64, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 in Herndon, VA. Born in Chatsworth, GA to Fred and Inga Robinson, Robbie was the youngest of six children. She spent her childhood in Mt. Olive, AL and, after moving to the DC area in her teens, completed her education in Fairfax County. Robbie went on to become a corporate accountant with CSC, Magnavox and, most recently, Airbus in Herndon, VA. Robbie delighted in participating in the arts, had a wonderful sense of humor, and volunteered extensively in her community. She sewed costumes for her church and local theatres, crocheted for charity groups and ushered local plays as part of her many contributions of time and energy. She especially loved to sing and was a member of the Herndon Towne Square Singers for many years. A member of her choir at Dranesville United Methodist Church, and formerly First Baptist Church of Herndon, Robbie's faith community was a principal part of her life. Surviving are her beloved husband, Michael Gregory Lauck, and cherished son, Adam Taylor Lauck, both of Herndon. Other survivors include her sister Betty Bacon Hornick of Chantilly, VA and brother Charles Mallory Robinson of Sylacauga, AL, brothers-in-law Ron Lauck, Bill Lauck and Curtis Lauck; sisters-in-law Lillian Bennet, Fern Jackson and Ruth Gray; nephews Gregory Robinson, Steven Bacon, Tony Robinson, David Derf, Curtis Lauck; and nieces Janice Cairns, Linda Ford, Fran Daniel, Karen Derf and Lucy Lauck. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Clyde Robinson, sisters Linda Robinson and Patsy Derf, and brother-in-law John Lauck. She also leaves behind many dear and loving friends and extended family who shared her great love of life. A memorial service will be held at Dranesville United Methodist Church, Herndon, VA on December 3, 2012 at 11:00am with Pastor Bill Heinzman officiating. A lunch reception at the church will follow. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials for Robbie be made to Shelter House, Inc. or to a favorite charity of the donor's choice.
