Obituary of Erline Elizabeth Hearns

Please share a memory of Erline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Erline Elizabeth Hearns departed this life on Wednesday November 21, 2012 at her home in Ashburn, Virginia after a long illness. Erline was born on July 8, 1929 to the late Lee Edward Sr. and Mable Baylor Paige. She was educated in Loudoun County Virginia. Erline joined the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Sterling, Virginia at an early age and was a faithful member until her illness prevented her from attending. In 1948, Erline married her lifelong friend Richard "Buck" Hearns and from this union, six children were born. Erline loved flowers, plants, and decorating for the holidays. Her favorite time of year was Christmastime. Erline was well known for her delicious baked goods, wearing bold hats and having a big beautiful smile at all times. Erline's greatest joy, aside from being among family and friends, was receiving flowers on any given day. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving and devoted husband of more than 64 years, Buck; three sons, Richard (Betty); Nathan (Zoe); Rodney; three daughters, Jacqueline, (Thurman) Vantoria, and Marilyn; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; five sisters, two brothers (as she was preceded in death by her third and youngest brother), 4 sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
