From very young I remember every weekend, Dad & Dot would sit us down, on Sundays, in front of the TV, for the Redskin game. We would get to eat cheddar cheese and pretzels and he would say "Now - Say GO GO REDSKINS!" We would all chant it right on que - and of course the Redskins behind Sonny Jergunson would score just for us! We all LOVE the Redskins still to this very day, as do our kids and hopefully our grandkids! Thanks Dad! I really really enjoyed our last weekend together at the winerys (Sunset was best) with Dottie, and Kathi and then back at home with you and Dottie, Patti, and Kevin. That has to be my favorite weekend EVER with YOU! Love you, Miss you, Mean it! Mary (after your mom)

Ned was a wonderful hugger. I loved his hugs. He would send xxoo through the mail and would always say,"I will want these back", meaning he wanted the e-mailed hugs and kisses personally planted appropriately. I was glad to oblige. We had such good times when my sisters, husbands, kids, and anyone else wanting to join us, visited the many beautiful vineyards in Virginia. We usually went around November 4th as that was Ned's and Dottie's daughter, Jennifer's, birthday. Although she never got to celebrate her birthday with us,(maybe once) we sure did celebrate for her and with her via telephone. Ned was always ready to do something good and fun! He was a really good person. I'm going to miss him so much! You are in our prayes forever Ned! Love, Bev

What can I say? We lost a great man, a huge fan of American Legion, Ashburn and the youth of this town. I will miss Ned as I am sure many will. ELW will not be forgotten by me or my team. Jim Wheaton

We are saddened that Ned's earthly journey has ended but, rejoice in the knowledge that he is at peace with the Lord, who he loved so deeply. What a beautiful example of Christian love Ned set for all of us, especially the parishioners of St. Theresa. His sweet and gentle presence will be missed by so many. SLAINTE, Ned!

Ned's chapter in the creation plan is complete. His life on earth was a fine and inspiring contribution. Although we are very sad to lose a husband, father and friend, it is consoling knowing he is now in God's merciful hands. We will sorely miss this wonderful man.
