Anna G. Burgess, age 94, died on October 14, 2008 at her home in Great Falls, VA. She was born on October 12, 1914 in Great Falls, VA to the late Charles and Mildred Jenkins. Anna was a life long member of Great Falls United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was the oldest original resident then still resided in Great Falls, VA. She was honored by having her name added to the "Saints Quilt" at the Methodist Church. Anna was the beloved wife of the late Clark W. Burgess, loving and devoted mother of June Bacon of Selbyville, DE, Joyce Rosenbarger of Six Mile, SC and Harold burgess of Boyce, VA, sister of Florence Curtis of Wilmington, NC, proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 16 th from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17 th at 11am at Great Falls United Methodist Church, 10100 Georgetown Pike, Great Falls, VA 22066. Interment will immediately follow at Arnon Cemetery. The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to Great Falls United Methodist Church.
