My sympathies to the family of Father Bob. I was a parishioner at St. Cecilia's in Fort Myers while he was pastor there. He was so much fun and taught me so much. He always told me that I reminded him of one of his sisters. He presided at my wedding and subsequently the memorial funeral of my first husband and then encouraged me to get into youth ministry. That lead to my involvement in church ministry since 1989 and I owe it to him for getting me started. He was a wonderful man and I was so happy when he came back to Fort Myers for a year after his retirement in Reston, VA. The heat bothered him to much so we were sad to see him leave again but he would send an occasional greeting from NC of he and Mollie and how they were enjoying the Outer Banks. I have so many wonderful memories of working with him. But the most special is the oil painting that I have hanging in my house that he gave me on my wedding day. It is a picture of the beach because he knew how much I loved the water and hot weather. I will cherish it and his memory forever. Thank you Father Bob, (Deb Addessi) Goodlunis

Father Bob Brown was chaplain of the Colonel Thomas J. Cunningham Division, Ancient Order of Hibernians (2001-02). His support for our annual Halfway to St Patrick Day celebrations, annual Mass and luncheon for the elderly, and fund raising initiatives inspired all of us. His homilies at division meetings were meaningful and always interlaced with his Irish sense of humor. May perpetual light shine upon him and may he rest in peace. In Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity, Bill Halpin
