Just a quick note - today is March 1, which ushers in the annual trout fishing season in West Virginia. Dad Y and I always got excited about this time of the year and he taught me all I know about trout fishing. We spent endless hours on the stream (well actually in the stream in our waders). Dad Y also taught me a lot about life. He was simply the smartest person I have known. On Monday, March 4th, Col. Stephen C. Yednock will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery with all the military honors he so fully deserves as an American hero serving in three wars and surviving combat missions over the Pacific and Japan in a P-51 Mustang (named "Jeannie" after his beloved wife of 60+ years). I have a photo of Dad Y on my desk at home that I often talk with these days about life's ups and downs - he still helps me. Soon I will be on the trout stream again, sadly without my fishing buddy in person, but he is definitely always with me in spirit!

You have my deepest sympathy. May the God of all comfort supply you with the strength needed to endure these difficult times and may you find peace in the resurrection hope found in John 5:28, 29.
