Obituary of Thomas Joseph Curry

Thomas J. Curry, Jr. was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 6, 1943 to Thomas and Helen Curry. His father was a captain in the Philadelphia police. Tom attended St. Joan of Arc Elementary School and Northeast Catholic High School. He graduated from La Salle University in 1964 with a B.S. in Accounting. He joined the Army and did his tour of duty in France and Germany. He was employed by Mobil Oil Corp. and remained with the company for 33 years until his retirement in 2000. He married Mary Ann Clinch in 1969 and together they had five children. Tom and Mary Ann became members of St. Joseph's Church in 1981. In addition to sending all five children through St. Joseph's School, Tom and Mary Ann were Eucharistic Ministers and leaders in the Marriage Enrichment Program. Tom also served as a lector and PTO President. His wife, son T.J., and four daughters—Aimee, Colleen, Camille, and Mollie—were present with him at his death on January 30, 2013 at his home in Herndon, VA.
