To all of Jean's family, our hearfelt sympathy at your loss. I had the pleasure of working for years with Jean at IUE. We had so many good times together there and in the following years when she was well enough to attend our retiree luncheons. She was a dear, sweet and true friend and I will miss her. This is a picture of my mom Christmas of 2011. As many of you know, I struggled with putting her in a nursing home for quite a while. I worried about putting her there and felt as if I was evicting her from my home. I shouldn't have worried. She had a great life there making all kinds of friends among staff, fellow residents and their families. She adored her roommate Pat Bopp, Mrs. Bopp's daughter Joanne who visits her mom almost daily, her favorite nurses Heidi & Liz along with the activities ladies, Mabel, Breanna & Betty. She played Wii bowling, went to chapel, monthly pizza parties and luncheons. I want to thank all of the wonderful folks who came into her life and brought her such joy these last 2 1/2 years that she was there.
I am forever grateful!
