Obituary of Marion D. Ashford

Marion Ashford, age 89, passed Saturday, February 16, 2013. Mrs. Ashford was born in Brooklyn, New York and lived in Montgomery County, MD for the past 35 years where she worked at the Consumer Product Safety Commission in the 1970's. She came to Washington DC when she was 18 where she met her husband Theophilus E. Ashford. In 1957 he joined the Foreign Service and for the next 15 years they lived in Indonesia, Japan, and Thailand. She is survived by her children Ron and Marion, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
