Obituary of Diane Wolf Forgrave

Diane "Dede" Wolf Forgrave Passed away on Wednesday, March 20 at Reston Hospital, one day short of her 51st anniversary. She was a 48-year resident of Great Falls, and for a time was very active in the Congressional Award program for high school students, as both a mentor and organizer. She accomplished this though slowed for forty years by macular degeneration, training herself to push past blindness and read entirely through peripheral vision. As her medical challenges increased, so did her positive attitude. Wherever she went, she could be found befriending the staff or encouraging others to join her at embracing the challenges and successes of physical therapy. Her compassion and unfailingly upbeat sense of humor will be deeply missed by many. She is survived by her husband Paul, sister Marilyn Carroll, adopted brother John Wolf, son Bob, daughters Lisa and Susan, granddaughters Kristy and Becky, and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 28 at 11:00 AM at the Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
