Norm, my buddy, my friend, my neighbor.
Norm was an ideal neighbor, quick with a joke, and willing to lend you anything he had. I tilled my entire back yard and half of my gardens using Norm's tiller.
I came home from work many summer days finding Norm working in his yard. While taking my daily U-turn at the top of the Oswald Place, I tried to always stop and talk with Norm, knowing he would try to cheer me up with his numerous jokes. Norm's jokes would take away all the stupid pressure of the day. I would list some of his jokes, but repeating them would potentially leave me liable.
I can only wish that I can use the English language in such an eloquent and Tennessee way. Norm could cuss and no one would notice because the words were chosen with years of use and interjection. I always walked away from a conversation with Norm with a smile on my face.
We will all miss you Norm and love you forever.
