Obituary of Mary Jo Brown

On April 12, 2013 at her home in Herndon, Virginia. Mary Jo was born in St. Catharines, Ontario and grew up in Baie Comeau, Quebec. She earned her RN from Montreal General Hospital in 1958. Mary Jo was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years Neil, children Steven of Renton, Wa., Jeffrey (Trisha) of Apex, NC, and Jodi Goldberger of South Riding, Va, and grandchildren Sarah, Benjamin, Sean, Garrett, and Miles, and brother Bill Thurber (Anne) of Mississauga, Ontario. Mary Jo proudly volunteered for the Alzheimer's Association, the American Cancer Society, and the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, among other causes. Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, Va to celebrate her life.
