Obituary of William Hays O'Brien

O'Brien, William Hays (Bill), age 63 On April 26, 2013 at Fairfax Hospital, beloved husband of Robin E. Remsburg, Loving father of Kelly and Kevin O'Brien, Sister of Katherine Bowen, Maureen O'Brien, and Brother of James and Patrick O'Brien. William was a Veteran of the U.S. Army /USAR with the Rank of Sgt. First Class (E7) William graduated from UMBC with a BA in ancient history. Serving for 22 years as a career counselor in the U.S. Army, William was the recipient of numerous awards and commendations marking a distinguished service career. He was the official representative of the Royal Clan O'Brien and considered a local expert on Celtic history and folklore. He regularly participated in Celtic festivals in the mid-Atlantic region. The Family will have an old fashion Irish wake at the Remsburg/O'Brien home on Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 2-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Brain Injury Services (BIS).
