Obituary of Anna Jean Fryer

Anna Jean "Jeannie" Fryer (age 67), On Sunday May 5, 2013, Jeannie passed away peacefully of complications due to cancer. She was born on March 17, 1946 in Altoona, PA; daughter of Chalmers N. of Altoona, PA and Jane C. (Shirreffs) Gordon of Aberdeen, Scotland. She was a resident of Ashburn, VA and formerly of Warrenton, VA. Beloved wife of Gary Fryer for almost 45 years; mother of Steven Fryer; grandmother (GeeMa) of Andrew Fryer; sister of Malcolm Gordon; and dedicated friend to many wonderful people in her life. Jeannie grew up all over the world as an "Air Force Brat" and experienced life to its fullest. She enjoyed sailing and traveling on the Chesapeake Bay with her family; spending lots of time playing with her grandson; and she excelled at finding new friends and keeping them for life. Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 16th from 6pm until a memorial service to celebrate her life, which will begin at 7pm at ADAMS-GREEN Funeral Home 721 Elden St. Herndon, VA. Inurnment Private. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund would be appreciated.
