Obituary of Saheng Doek

Saheng Doek (age 58). On Friday, May 10, 2013, Saheng passed away unexpectedly in his residence from natural causes. He was born on April 23, 1955 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia; son of Tean Doek and Lam Van Ngan. He was a resident of Herndon, VA living with his niece, Chandarany Doek and her husband, Mario Melendez, and their three children, Kevin, Kristal and Kyle. He was the beloved brother of Marleni Doek, Malay Hafner, Sarou Doek (passed away in August 2009), Saroon Doek, Saree Doek and Sago Doek; beloved uncle of Nearyrath Huang, Chandarany Doek, Niroth Thong, Niramy Thong, Sapeak Doek, Satee Doek, Samantha Hafner, Jonathan Hafner, Satha Doek, Richard Hafner, Debbie Vongpakdy, Jennifer Great, and Jonathan Great; and beloved grand-uncle to many grand-nieces and nephews who will all miss him very much. Saheng came with his family to the United States in the fall of 1979 escaping the atrocities of the Cambodian Holocaust. He was an easy-going and generous soul and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Saheng's funeral viewing will take place on Sunday May 19th, 2013 from 2pm-5pm at Adams-Green Funeral Home located at 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA 20170. All are welcome to pay their last respects.
