Obituary of Jonathan Linden Powell

Jonathan Linden Powell, age 27, passed away on May 18, 2013. A lifelong resident of Herndon, Jonathan was born October 25, 1985 at Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg. A graduate of the Herndon High School Class of 2004, Jonathan was a member of the Varsity Football Team. Jonathan was attending George Mason University, pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, while simultaneously working for United Parcel Service as a supervisor. Jonathan leaves behind his mother (Susan), father (Kevin), sister and brother-in-law (Jennifer and Phillip Ralls), brother and sister-in-law (Andrew and Brandi), his nephew (Alexander), and his niece (Elise). Although the loss was sudden, those left behind are comforted by the fact that Jonathan is now at peace. Jonathan was an intelligent, introspective, and caring young man. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 25th, 2013 at 2PM. The location will be Trinity Presbyterian Church, 651 Dranesville Road, Herndon, VA 20170. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either of Jonathan's favorite charities, The American Red Cross or Greenpeace.
