Rose Anna Hearns Brooks (age 90) departed this life at Cameron Glen Nursing Home in Reston, Virginia, Thursday, May 30, 2013. Visitation is 10:00 AM and Service is 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Herndon United Methodist Church, 701 Bennett Street, Herndon, Virginia 20170. Pastor D. Michael Minter (Rose's Pastor) of Reston Bible Church will be officiating. Rose leaves to cherish fond memories: two loving daughters, Lucinda B. Gormes (James) of Arlington, and Bertha "Bea" Lansdown Watkins, Sterling; three loving and devoted sons, George, Jr. (Tomi) of Fayetteville, NC, James "Jimi" A, (Rosanna T.) Petersburg, VA, and Henry L. Brooks (Faye), Sterling, VA; 14 grandchildren and 26 great -grand - children; one great-great-grand child, one brother, Richard Hearns, Sr., three brothers-in law, Joseph L. Brooks (Jean), Carroll A. Brooks and William F. Brooks (Patricia); two sisters-in-law, Lucy T. Hearns and Louise B. Smith, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
