Obituary of Eugene Vernon Gentry

Eugene Gentry, born September 21, 1925 to late Ernest and Elizabeth Vernon Gentry. Beloved husband of late Rosemary Mossberg Gentry, his high school sweetheart. A WWII veteran, he served in Ardennes Rhineland in Central Europe. Retired from Washington Gas after a 35 year career. He loved to play baseball and golf. He lived for the past three years with caregiver Betty Hall, a wonderful woman. Survived by daughter, Bonny Sue Scott; grandson Donnie L. Scott; great-grandchildren, Dylan Lee Scott and Luke Noah Scott; brother Ralph Curtis Gentry; daughter-in-law Judy Gentry. Preceded in death by son, Thomas Alvin Gentry; son-in-law Danny Scott; granddaughter Angela Nicole Gentry. Family will receive friends at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA on Tuesday June 18 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be at Andrew Chapel UMC, 1301 Trap Road, Vienna, VA on Wednesday, June 19 at 11:00 a.m..
