Obituary of Susan Moore

Susan A. Moore, 73, died unexpectedly on June 29, 2013 at her home in Great Falls, VA. She was born on January 26, 1940, in Dundalk, MD, the daughter of Francis Davis and Celia Zoss. Susan is survived by the love of her life, husband Reuben W. Moore, Jr., sister Ellen Davis, son David Clark, daughters Julie Clark and Amy Dodds, step-daughter Jessica Dailey, three grandsons, two granddaughters, other close relatives, and a great many close friends. Susan graduated from Dundalk High School, attended the University of Maryland, and received an R.N. from Johns Hopkins Nursing School. In addition to raising her three children, Susan enjoyed spending time with her beloved husband, family, and friends, as well as doting on her grandchildren. She was known for her exceptional kindness, colorful sense of humor, creativity, and generosity. There will be a celebration of Susan's life at the family home, 10230 Akhtamar Dr., Great Falls, VA 22066, on Sunday July 7, with an open house from 1-5 pm and a sharing of remembrances at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in Susan's name to Capital Caring Hospice (Leesburg, VA) where she was a dedicated volunteer.
