This is difficult to write. We are both devastated at the news of Brintha’s passing and find ourselves asking the question why. We were blessed to meet Brintha more than 20 years ago while living in the DC area. When you think of Brintha, you cannot help but smile yourself. She had a warm smile, infectious laugh and an innocence about her that is hard to find today. Brintha’s life was about giving, as she would always think of others first and herself second. Many fond memories are of Brintha hearing a joke and laughing, but then looking and smiling and saying “I don’t get it.” We would then explain the joke to her and we would all laugh again. That’s a wonderful memory to have and cherish. To our dearest Brintha: You will be dearly missed as a friend to so many, but also missed by those who will never experience the gift to meet you and call you a true friend.
