Obituary of Craig William Desmond

Craig William Desmond (Age 68) On July 11, 2013, in Arlington, Virginia. Beloved husband of almost 42 years to Gwen Mahlmann; loving father of two sons Ken Desmond (Teresa Benavides) and Patrick Desmond (Lauren). He was preceded in death by his father Daniel and a nephew, David. Craig was an officer who proudly served in the U.S. Army followed by a 37 year career in the CIA as a finance officer. Craig the son of Daniel and Blanch (Clark) Desmond is survived by his siblings; Jan Melluzzo (Paul); Timothy Desmond (Maggie); Meg Hagen (Robert); and Tami Brennan (Michael). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The visitation and funeral mass will be held on July 18, 2013 at Christ The Redeemer Catholic Church, 46833 Harry Byrd Highway, Sterling Va. The visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:30 am followed by the funeral mass. The burial will follow the mass at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, 831 Dranesville Road, Herndon, VA. The family of Craig Desmond wishes to thank the Capital Caring Halquest Memorial Inpatient Center for their compassionate and loving care during Craig's stay there.
