Wayne & family--so very sorry for your loss. You both hold a special place on my heart. You were the loving people who gave me my Lady Girl, my precious Sheltie. You gave her such a good home & I was proud to become her new mommy, Lady brought me such joy for the six years I was blessed to have her. I know Lady was there to greet her first mommy in Heaven. Our Sweet Mary
By Nancy W. Vickers:
I loved her like a sister for over 50 years.
We all recall her laughter as we hold back our tears .
.
We went to see "The Jersey Boys" down in Washington.
Great music from the 50's filled her night with fun!
Reba, her little Sheltie, must really miss her so.
She loved to be with Mary more than you'll ever know.
Mary was a beautiful girl and loved by everyone.
Often she sat on her patio enjoying the warmth of the sun.
She dearly loved her family, and little Lauren and Jake.
Thanksgiving celebrations at Mary's were always great.
Maryland homemade dishes were flown on the Pickeral plane.
Holidays were special with her family together again.
David brought the grand kids so she could watch them play.
Her Wayne was right beside her loving her all the way.
Kellee was a trooper, her daughter and her friend,
We'll treasure Mary's memory until we meet again.

MEMORIES AND FRIENDSHIPS
We can never forget the 80's, a very busy time,
kids, puppies and soccer, that was your life and mine.
The Cardinals were born and we were soccer moms from the start,
We quickly became friends and were rarely apart.
Remember ...
A 'lil yellow truck with wood on the side,
a big yellow school bus with kids on a ride.
Soccer games, practices, tournaments, it was all nice,
a party at the Holiday Inn - they served beer with ice!
Herndon festivals, Jason's and the Country Store,
always on the go, our lives were never a bore.
Partying the day away beginning at noon,
until nighttime and the Hucaps finale - 'BLUE MOON'.
Weekend trips to the pottery and Ocean City, didn't have to go far,
still can't believe you allowed me to drive your car.
The 'Classics', our coaches, heading soccer balls on all fours,
we were gullible then, not knowing WHAT was in store.
Kenny Rogers, Conway Twitty and concerts at Wolf Trap,
it was all good music back then, no such thing as rap.
Mikki, Gary, the Dean's and what's their face,
Floy and Steve with beer in his briefcase.
Whatever we did, we had a great time,
of course, everything's, better with cheap white wine.
We were always laughing and kidding and it was no fluke,
that Kellee invented my nickname - Marmaduke!
Through the years we remained friends not just a fad,
and you became the sister I never had.
Time has passed and our children are grown,
with busy lives, careers and kids of their own.
So we'll take life a little slower and a moment to reflect,
cherishing the friendships that we will never forget.

Mary & I connected from the first moment we met. She & I enjoyed so many wonderful moments together at work. She is someone who personifies the saying: "If you love your job, you will never work another day in your life". She made me love my job. Laughter, productivity, accuracy, and friendship...all a part of our daily work ethic. Mary's beauty, humbleness and loving nature won the hearts of all of us who had the pleasure of working with her. I feel especially blessed because our friendship extended into our personal life and our husbands got to share in all of this wonderfulness and I will never....ever....forget my dearest friend Mary. We are so saddened about Mary's passing. We pray that the sadness felt now will gradually be replaced by a sense of peace.
