Michael was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. He is surveyed by his wife, Paulette of 22 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Helen. Michael was a graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in Mining Engineering and Marshall University with a Master in Safety. He was employed by the Department of Labor, Mine Safety and Health Administration for 27 years. He was an avid fisherman and devoted Catholic.
