Obituary of Jeffrey Hans Feaster

Jeffrey Hans Feaster, 42, died on November 5, 2013. Born on July 23, 1971, Jeff was the second son of Boyd Feaster and Sandra Moncrief Feaster. He served in the United States Army, 11th Special Forces Group Airborne, 13th Chemical Company. On October 5, 2002, he married his beloved, Erin Niesslein. The couple met as teenagers, and later raised a son, Britton Niesslein. In addition to Erin and Brit, Jeff is survived by his parents; his brothers John Feaster and Justin Feaster; and many extended family members and friends, who were like family to him. Jeff lived for his many passions: He was a devoted husband and father, and he spent years coaching Brit's soccer teams. He played the bass avidly, both with friends in his band room and at various open mics in the area. Jeff volunteered his time and construction expertise to Wooten Woods, Victor Wooten's nature retreat for bass players; he also donated his time helping and promoting other local musicians. He raced BMX bikes; in 2011, he was the state champion in his division. An animal lover, he and Erin had a big family of pets, furry, feathered, and finned. Jeff was an adventurous soul and loved sports from kayaking to golf. Jeff was the best handyman. He could do any job, fix anything, and complete any task at hand. The generosity of his talents will be greatly missed. There will be a celebration of this handsome man's life and all that he brought to ours: his sly humor, his willingness to pitch in, his music, his conversation and stories, his love.
