Loving wife and mother. She leaves behind a husband James Dougherty; two children Bryan Dougherty of Herndon and Karen Stapleton of Winchester, and a sister, Brenda McDermott of Fairfax. Her five grand children knew her as Nannie Scott Dougherty, Alyssia and Zackery Stapleton of Winchester; Sydney and Hudson Dougherty of Centreville. Her death was the result of her many medical challenges.
