Donald Paul Boyle, Sr., a resident of Reston since 1967, died on December 30, 2013, of natural causes. He was a sales representative for manufacturers of electronic components and worked with the federal government and large corporations until his retirement in 2011.
He graduated from Mount Carmel High School in 1952, where he was a member of the 1951 City Championship football team.
Don was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served on active duty in 1953-55 and in the Army Reserves until 1961.
He graduated from Roosevelt University in 1960 with a B.A. in History.
Don and his wife, Carolyn, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2011. They enjoyed summer and winter vacations in Duck, NC, especially when joined by their four children and sixteen grandchildren.
