Obituary of Maxwell Andrew DiPalma

Maxwell Andrew DiPalma, 20-year old beloved son of Robert J. and Cynthia DiPalma, died suddenly on January 7, 2014. Born February 23, 1993 in Reston, VA, he lived in Oak Hill, VA. Max lived a full and extraordinary life. He was insightful, sensitive, and creative; and had extraordinary ideas and dreams. Max loved his family and friends and shared his love freely.
He was a talented photographer who could take a new perspective on everyday things. In October 2011, one of Max's photograph, "Cotton Candy," was selected for the National Geographic Photo of the Day.
A graduate of The New School, Class of 2011, Max traveled to Austria on a class trip where he found the architecture inspiring and pursued his interest in photography. He attended Old Dominion University, the Art Institute of San Francisco, and had enrolled in classes at Northern Virginia Community College for the Spring 2014 semester. He had plans to pursue the visual arts and further develop his photography skills.
Max is survived by his sister, Michelle DiPalma, grandparents, Marie DiPalma, and Margaret (Peg) and Fred Williams, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to The Maxwell Andrew DiPalma Memorial Fund at the Workhouse Arts Center, 9601 Ox Road
