When Lou & I signed up for the Navy, we were in my 1963 MG with the top down. We were in a silly mood, so we went to a novelty store looking to buy
2 white sailor hats, thinking we would wear them to our parents and friends
homes, to announce our enlistment. The novelty store had sailor hats, but they were pink, so we bought them and told everyone were joined the Navy, but we were going into the "Pantywaist Brigade". It was funny then!!!!!!!
