Obituary of Mark Kenneth Roberts

Mark was born on July 4, 1959 in La Grange, IL moving shortly thereafter to Satellite Beach, FL. After graduating from Harvard University in 1981 he moved his family to Washington, D.C to begin his career in Government contracts. Mark had over 28 years of experience in Govcon having worked in private industry, public accounting & at a law firm serving as a consultant and litigation specialist. He was an accomplished educator and served as an expert witness for clients in the aerospace, defense, construction, & healthcare industries. For the past two years he served as a Principal Partner at Ernst and Young. Mark is survived by his wife Lisa VA, daughter Jessica DC, son Jared MD, his parents, and numerous family & friends. Mark is greatly missed by many (including his beloved Miami Dolphins) and will be remembered for his big smile, infectious laugh, and generous heart. A public memorial will be held at 11:00am on January 31 at Adams-Green Funeral Home, Herndon, VA 20170. Donations can be made to MCC High School - M.K.Roberts Scholarship Fund.
