Gene, my deepest sympathy to you and your family. Skippy was a life long friend of our family and we are all saddened at his passing. I will miss his visits after the Handy Festival and reminiscing over old times. Anne Jones

Our condolences for the passing of our Skip, our friend and neighbor. Our thoughts and prayers are with Skip, his family, and friends. We first met Skip and Gene when we moved into our new homes in Potomac Green in 2006, when there our street was still dirt. We will miss you Skip, but always remember you.

Mr. McClung (Skip) was the best volunteer Firefighter I ever met in Fairfax County. I met Skip in 1992 and worked at FS12 most of my career. He always had encouraging words of wisdom and was always a joy to talk to. Coffee at the Great Falls Fire Station will never be the same. We love you Skip, rest in peace my friend. Our hearts and prayers go out to Mrs. McClung and the family!

Just prior to Clearview Elementary school opening up, Skip had a meeting of the faculty to go over some last minute items. One of the items covered was that several large packets of various colored tag board were missing from the newly arrived supplies. Well, Helen Davis and Frank Smith thought we would get a head start on classroom supplies too. Maybe that was where the tag board disappeared too. All I know is I did not need any more tag board for the rest of that school year.
