I loved Uncle Jimmy like a father. His brother, my father left us early in life and I always had uncle Jimmy as my rock. I will miss him badly...I remember when he was driving a parts car in Herdon. I was driving a cab and we would talk "shop". My condolences to Mike and Gerry.

My heartstrings are so deeply connected to Jimmy's sister Jane that I can't help but feel his family's sorrow. From what I understand, it seems he had a goodly long and fruitful, fulfilling life. What a gift for him and all who knew him. Now, as he has moved on, this favorite blessing from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer comes to mind: "May He support us all the day long, till the shades lengthen and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over, and our work is done. Then in His mercy may He give us a safe lodging and a holy rest and peace at the last." And may I add: May you find comfort and joy in thoughts of your dear husband and father. Love, Mary Ishmael
