Clandorf, Ilario "Larry" Died on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in Fairfax, VA. Larry was born to Theodore and Geni Clandorf in 1927 in New York City. He married Wanda Niemczyk at St. Brigid's Church in 1965, and the couple spent 37 years in Bayside, NY before relocating to Reston, Va in 2002. After Graduation high school and serving in the Army, Larry worked for many years as a custom cabinet maker before starting his own business. He was a talented woodworking designer whose creations grace some of the finest residences in the New York area. A music aficionado (especially opera), he sang in his church choir and a symphonic choral group for many years. He was an avid bridge player who also loved comedy, games, history, Western and Action Movies, and the company of his friends and family. Known for his quick wit and colorful jokes, Larry could light up a room and left an indelible impression on everyone who met him. He will be missed. Larry is survived by his loving wife Wanda, his daughters Genelle and Julianne, and grandsons Austin, Matthew and Ryan. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 11900 Lawyers Road, Reston, VA 20191, from 12:30 until Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 1:30 PM. The family appreciates your kind sentiments. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Larry to The American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org/donate.
