Melissa was a much admired, hard working, and dedicated co-worker. She worked the night shift while I worked the day shift. I could always count on seeing the widest and most wonderful smile every morning when I arrived to work. Melissa would be at the desk and would greet you with her happy spirit, a hearty good morning, and that beautiful smile. I knew that if Melissa had worked the night before, everything would be neat and tidy and our patient census board would not only be legible again, but legible with the most exquisite penmanship! She took pride in doing a good job and making sure the unit was ready.
I miss that neatly printed census board, I miss that spunky "good morning" greeting (even after a long,busy night), but most of all I miss that happy, infectious smile that always helped me start my day in a positive mood.
Melissa-you are missed, you are loved, and our census board will never be the same. Rest in peace and know that you made an impact on others lives.
