My condolences go out to your family in this difficult time. I would like to share a beautiful hope from God found in Isaiah 25:8, He will swallow up death forever and the Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces. The reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, For God himself has spoken it.

Mr Shelton, Susan, Mark and family: I wanted to express my deepest sympathy in the passing of Mrs Shelton. As a teenager growing up in McLean our families were intertwined because of the 4-H horse and pony club. I knew Mrs Shelton as one of the hardest working secretaries in a law practice and that work ethic extended to Susan. I watched Mrs Shelton take care of her family and put their needs before hers. I admired that she was always upbeat, energetic and had a amazing attention to detail and correctness. I believe Susan is very much like her eventhough she probably won't admit it. Once I graduated from veterinary school, I reconnected with the family as Susan's veterinarian. I got to see Susan's farm in great falls just as it had been in the seventies with her fathers chickens, her Mom tirelessly working still at the law firm and Susan still riding horses , marrying her neighbor Mark and Susan in her mothers footsteps at the law practice. When Susan built her own farm, I lost connection with her parents but never forgot to ask how they were doing. It was always Mom working, driving Dad crazy, and Dad still with the chickens. That all changed when Susan's Mom fell ill. If it wasn't for the diligence of the family the doctors may still have been on the wrong path and she would not have been able to have the final days in peace at Susan's home. Susan, it was amazing watching your entire family care for your mom in the final days. She will be sadly missed and was the glue of the family. Take care of your dad. We will be out of town so will miss seeing you in person. KB

Mary Mary always had such a great smile. She was a little spitfire. I remember meeting her first in the doctors office and then seeing her cheering one day at my son's football game. I asked her why she was there and she said her son-in-law coached. I said oh not coach animal and she said yes I should have known. My son was so inspired by her son-in-law and I have been so inspired by her strength and no matter how much was given to her in both sadness and happiness she always kept similing and going at it head first. I can remember her with all of her catalogs sitting in the waiting room of the office and picking out Christmas gifts for all of her grandkids. I never have known such a devoted grandmother. I am now a grandmother and I pray my grandkids love me as Mary's love her.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and to me a true friend. I will miss her greatly. May God take her in his arms and bless her family.
Good-Bye Mary Mary, You will be missed.
