Obituary of Lee Scott Beaty

Lee "Scott" Beaty Jr. September 6, 1960 - March 26, 2014 Scott Beaty was born in Okinawa, Japan, the son of Lee and Ruth MacIlvain Beaty. He graduated from Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va in 1978 and then attended Richard Bland College in Petersburg, Va. He enjoyed reading, listening to music and being involved in The First Baptist Church in Herndon, Va. Scott worked in the travel industry for 30 years in domestic, international, and corporate travel. Scott is remembered as a kind, gentle man who was always considerate of others. Scott is survived by his wife Susan of Vienna, Va, step-son Ryan Ferguson, one brother James Lawrence Beaty and wife Linda of Falls Church, VA, his niece and nephew Lauren and James Beaty and one great-niece, Mikayla Osborne, his sister and brother-in-law Jennifer and Danny Story of Stanardsville, Va, his two nieces Samantha and Betsy Ulrope and one great-niece, Savannah Lam. A funeral service will be held at The First Baptist Church of Herndon, 681 Elden Street, Herndon, VA 20170 at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 5, 2014. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The First Baptist Church.
