Obituary of Joan Anne Castan

Joan Anne Castan (King) Aug 16, 2011, age 81. Beloved wife for 52 years of William C Castan, Sr. who went before her, loving mother of William C (Patti) Castan, Keith Castan and Joyce (Michael) Kolber, dear sister of Robert (Dorothy) King of FL, and Dr. Lorraine King of NJ and PA, cherished grandmother of Stephanie (Kolber) (Donnell) Kennedy, William J (Jennifer), Daniel, Kali, and Brittany Castan, proud great-grandmother of Donovan and Jonathan Kennedy, died of heart failure at home with her family. Lifelong Philadelphia resident and is a graduate of Kensington High, January 1948, at age 17. She was a woman of many talents that are shared by her loving children, grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She loved life, people and travel and always was the center of every engagement. Family and friends are invited to Joan's Life Celebration Day, Sept 17, 2011, 12:00pm visitation at St. James Episcopal Church, 330 S Bellevue Ave, Langhorne, Pa followed by her Memorial Service at 1:00pm. Internment, at a later date, will be at the Columbarium Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory preferred to St Jude's Children Hospital.
