I was one of Chris Lane's "clients" for 30 years through our business association (first through Riggs and then Columbia Partners). He always treated me as if NECA was his best client. But or relationship was much more than business. Chris was a good friend of mine. Chris invited me to play in his club's member-guest golf tournament about 6 times. Although it was a "hike" from Rockville to Reston, it was always a treat to bring Carolyn back to Hidden Creek for the final dinner with Chris and Janet. One year we won our flight and our cup is still displayed in my family room. Chris was always so thoughtful and kind and I know he loved his family very much. I'm very sad that Janet, the children and grandchildren won't have Chris around. I know they will miss him. I will miss him too. I'm sorry I cannot share this message in person, but I have a family commitment out of town. Mike
