Obituary of Paul Owen Behrs

Paul "Papa" Behrs went home to be with God on Saturday, May 10, 2014. He was 69 years old. He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Evelyn Behrs and his dear sister Bernadette "Bunny" Zacher. Paul had a joyous spirit and an exuberance for life that is unimaginable. He was a Christian, a loving husband, an amazing father, a playful grandfather, a role model and a true friend to those who were lucky enough to know him. Paul spent his life honoring God, running 5k's and obstacle courses and spending time with his family and friends. He lit up a room and made your day with every encounter. An afternoon with Paul was active, fun and happy. Paul is survived by his loving wife Sandy, his children Jason and Jenni, and his granddaughters Aubrey and Allie who will miss him greatly. Brother of Mary McLaughlin, Kathleen Nelson, Brian, Gerald, Daniel and Christopher Behrs and the late Bernadette Zacher. He will never be forgotten.
