Doug and I were classmates at Westhampton School and at Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond. We both played in the school bands and in the Sophisticats, which a mutual friend of ours organized in seventh grade (I played trumpet). Doug was an excellent trombonist. I heard him play at a high school reunion last year. I wondered then whether we ever see each other again. I was much saddened to hear about his passing and have notified all our classmates for whom I could find contact information. My sincere condolences to his family.

We are very, very sorry to hear about your loss. We meet Doug recently and visited the home he was selling - he was a very nice man. I hope you find solace as you grieve and may he rest in peace!
