I worked for Don at GSA and loved and respected him as a great mentor and friend. He was so knowledgeable and eager to share his knowledge to help others. A real gentleman too. A favorite memory was when he opened his lovely home to his GSA coworkers for our Xmas party. There I met Ricardo, Blake and his first grandson and we all had a wonderful time. He was truly such a kind man.

I met Don a few years ago and instantly liked him with his bubbly personality and the fact that he was from the Wilkes Barre Pa area and went to the same college as myself.King's College.
I enjoyed several dinners and parties with him and Ricardo. Family and friends of theirs. We laughed and loved our Polish, Czeck heritage especially the Kielbosy and pierogies. I will miss you Don, You are one in a million and I hope to keep in touch with Ricardo, and your friends. May you rest in peace with the angels and saints. I am blessed to have known you.. Let us love his daughter, his grandchildren and his friends in his memory as he loved us all. May we console each other and honor him by being loving and kind to each other. Will miss you a lot, Don. You have touched my life and I will continue to live a life of doing good things, laughing, traveling and being happy in your honor. God Bless you and keep you with the angels in heaven and look down on us with your love and smiles. A well lived life.

I met Don in early 1996 when I started working in downtown DC for GSA. Don was friendly and helpful as I learned about my new job, and was someone you could count on. Don was interesting to talk with and I enjoyed our conversations, his wit, and his humor. I considered him one of the "good guys" at our agency and more importantly considered him a friend. I am truly saddened to hear of his passing and offer my deepest condolences to his family.

A True Angel, Don will be truly missed. I assisted him for many years at GSA, a wonderful person he was. I always felt like His-Cassa was Me-Cassa. I never felt different being around Don, he embraced me as if I was his own. I love him and will never forget him. I am honored to have shared a part of his life.
