James "Jim" Michael Fleming Sr., 68, of Reston, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 5th, 2014 in the comfort of his own home.
Jim was born in Cheverly, MD, on April 13th, 1946, to James Fleming and Margret (Fleming) Carrick. He married his wife Edith Fleming on October 16, 1976. He was the founder and co-owner of Tri-Star Glass, which became a successful business that still thrives today.
Aside from being a flourishing businessman, James also had a passion for golfing, gambling, stamp and coin collecting, as well as spending time with his loved ones. James had a contagious sense of humor and a generous and giving heart. He was genuinely selfless and often put the needs of others before his own. James had a fun-loving spirit and made it his mission to live life to the fullest and that is exactly what he did.
James is survived by his Mother, Margret Carrick; Wife, Edith Fleming; his children, James Fleming (Michelle) and Michael Fleming (Krystal); his brothers Thomas Fleming and Steven Carrick Jr. (Erica); his sisters Donna Merrifield (Ed) and Cheri Glaser (Rick); his grandchildren Jessica, Bailea, Jordan, Mischa, Marley, and Jacob Fleming; and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his Dad, Steve Carrick Sr.
A memorial service will be held at Adams-Green Funeral Home 721 Elden St. Herndon, VA 20170 at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday July 12, 2014.
