Obituary of James William Pumpa

James William Pumpa, 66 of Ashburn, VA passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25th with his loving family at his side. He was born to the late, James and Geraldine Pumpa on November 2, 1947 in Washington, D.C. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington, D.C. and joined the United States Army before marrying his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Brenda Pumpa in 1969. The two were married just shy of 45 years. He retired from Columbia Gas in 2000 after 29 years of service with the company. James is survived by two daughters, Kristina Jensen of Sterling (wife of Chris Jensen), VA and Kathleen Baron of Ashburn, VA (wife of Shawn Baron). He is also so survived by 5 grandsons, Ryan Jones, Max Jensen, Jake Jensen, Evan Baron and Luke Baron. James was proceeded in death, by his twin sister Jeannine Hill. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 1st at Adams-Green Funeral Home 721 Elden St. Herndon, VA. Donations in Jim's honor can be made to Lungevity.org.
